Sparky X Comprehensive Product Warranty

I. ALLOY WHEEL WARRANTY
Sparky X warrants that wheels purchased and installed through our shop meet the highest manufacturing standards.
1. Lifetime Structural Warranty
We warrant to the original retail purchaser that your wheels will be free from structural manufacturing defects for the life of the product. This covers metal porosity and spoke integrity.
2. Finish & Cosmetic Warranty
Facilitated by Sparky X on behalf of the manufacturer:
3-Year Coverage: Fully painted or Vapour Chrome (PVD) finishes (marked "Winter Approved").
1-Year Coverage: Machined, milled, polished, or chrome-plated finishes. These are "Summer Use" finishes; cosmetic damage from road salt is not covered.
II. TIRE WARRANTY (Manufacturer Limited Warranty)
As an authorized retailer, Sparky X facilitates all major manufacturer warranties (e.g., Michelin, Bridgestone, Continental).
1. Workmanship & Materials
Most manufacturers cover tires against defects for up to 6 years from the date of purchase.
Initial Coverage: Tires that become unserviceable due to a manufacturing defect within the first 2/32" of tread wear (or 1 year) are typically replaced at no charge for the tire (installation fees apply).
Pro-Rated Coverage: Beyond the initial period, the manufacturer provides a credit based on the remaining "usable tread" toward the purchase of a new tire.
2. Treadwear / Mileage Warranty
If your tires wear out evenly before the stated mileage (e.g., 80,000 km), you may be eligible for a pro-rated credit.
Requirement: You must provide proof of regular tire rotations every 8,000–10,000 km. Irregular wear caused by poor alignment or suspension is not covered.
III. TPMS SENSOR WARRANTY
Sparky X warrants TPMS sensors supplied and installed by our mobile shop.
1. New Sensor Warranty
Duration: 1-year limited warranty from the date of installation.
Coverage: Internal electronic failure or battery failure under normal use.
Exclusions: Damage from road hazards, physical impact, or use of "tire slime"/liquid sealants which can clog the sensor port.
IV. WHAT IS NOT COVERED (Exclusions)
To protect Sparky X and our customers, the following conditions are strictly excluded from all warranty types:
Road Hazards: Potholes, curbs, nails, glass, and impact damage. These are considered environmental hazards, not manufacturing defects.
Ontario Winter Damage: Finish corrosion on non-winter-rated wheels caused by road salt, calcium, or acidic cleaners.
Neglect: Damage from "run-flat" conditions (driving on an underinflated tire), overloading, or improper vehicle fitment.
Maintenance: Failure to perform required re-torques (within 50-100km) or lack of documented tire rotations.
V. CLAIM PROCESS
Submission: Start your claim by texting or emailing photos of the issue and your proof of purchase.
Technician Review: A physical inspection at our Ajax hub is required for final approval.
Determination: For tires and wheels, the manufacturer holds final authority on whether a defect is warrantable. Sparky X will present the case on your behalf to secure the best possible outcome.
Costs: Warranty covers the product cost (or pro-rated portion). The customer is responsible for labor costs (mounting/balancing), environmental fees, and taxes associated with the replacement.
